Friends..... Tonight there are a couple of projects being aired that Ive been lucky enough to be a part of.... Scrotal Recall (?!) starts on channel 4 at 10pm.... Its a brilliantly written new comedy show - I am a huge fan of the scripts by Tom Edge and had a wonderful time in Glasgow filming the series.... In which I got to be awkward in all kinds of situations (with my acting hat on). Its more nuanced than it might sound and I promise that at no point will my scrotum actually invade your living rooms. That would be horrific and the stuff of nightmares. Not least mine. AND starting tonight at 10pm on BBC4 is the brilliant new comedy series Detectorists written by, directed by and starring the amazing Mackenzie Crook. Him and Toby Jones play best friends in this beautiful and bucolic show. I was lucky enough to spend the first half of summer writing and recording the music for the series with my pal Dan Michaelson (whos new album Distance is a thing of wonder).
