Who remembers DAN RATHER?? CBS news anchor from long time back. His statements are so very true: So many pundits keep saying we need to put boots on the ground and intervene in the worlds conflicts. Iraq, Afghanistan, Ukraine, Syria, Gaza, Pakistan---where do we go first? Need to stop Al Qaeda and I.S.I.S. (Islamic State in Iraq and Syria). We need to secure the borders. We need to step in and help with the humanitarian crisis with the Kurdish and Christians in Iraq and Syria and Sudan; the Christians in Israel (as they kill the Palestinians in Gaza), the Ukrainians in their homeland, and the growing EBOLA epidemic in Liberia, Guinea, Sierra Leone and Nigeria. Boots on the Ground means troops on the ground, meaning more American soldiers sent to battle, meaning loss of life. Per Dan: Until you are willing to send YOUR son / daughter / brother / sister / husband / wife into a war or danger zone you need to stop trying to tell the current administration what to do!
