Friends, it is time to pack your stuff call together the dishes and the plates try to enjoy the last moments youre having joy and pain will always stay late Because the earth is nearly extinguished seems like the moon and the sun will relinquish I wont ever oblige you all to believe me but it seems like the earth will perish Some have said, it is sad to hear that all of the world will end up burned others say that we all shall be drowning none of them both sounds like it would be fun Maybe it wasnt too smart of them to treat us as if we were fish or grilled meat let us all tremble, fear and despair if you think the world must face its defeat Why would we shave us, or wash us, or clean us why would we put on new clothes, oh so new just let us drink, and just let us feast just let us throw away our fortune John, please, you must go get some chickens chickens run all over the streets all the time you dont even need to pay for them since the world is gonna say us goodbye Is there someone who would want to buy clothing I leave them behind for th price of the bill I intend to walk in my undies They are way too good for the warmth of the hell Im gonna sell my tools and my stuff since working has lost all its use and its fun I wont work the pieces from my hands since its seems like the world is done Finally, it just had to happen, it was predicted by the star with the tail luckily I have been prepared my last cents have all gone to pleasure and ale Should I be forced to make any debts and do they throw me on the streets someday I will just laugh, cause I dont care a wee bit since its clear that the world will decay This song is inspired by the fear the medieval people had for the apocalyps, by a female group from Belgium, called Laïs. Every young kid (or at least, from my generation) has learned how to dance on songs from these fair maidens, in a circle, as the medieval people did. I hope, that Ill get the chance to dance again that way with some other medievalists, maybe from this page :) ~Jacques De Molay
