Friends of Albuquerques First Baptist Church. Billy Goodrum went to be with the Lord this morning. He was at church. He died in the place he loved and with the people he loved. Billy and Dale had been friends since they were babies. He will be greatly missed. Billy had worked in the youth ministry ever since he graduated from college. He still kept the records for the S.S. and knew every kid by name. Dale and I talked to Rick, Billys son a few minutes ago. Dale did not go to church this morning, He was not feeling well. He and Bill always talked on Sunday. I guess I had left before his death happened. Dale talked to Bill by phone yesterday. He seemed to be as well as could be expected for an 80 something.
