Friends over practicing mounted shooting at Happy Trails Arena, Inc. and asked if I wanted to give it a try. Mind you, Annie has never done anything like this and was afraid of the balloons at first. She really settled into it and shows what training can do! Another thing, is ear protection. In mounted shooting the horse and rider wear ear protection and Annie was good about her ear plugs the first time! This is not the way to start out introducing a horse, but shows how good training can help a horse take on completely new things and still trust the rider. Annie got more relaxed the more we went along and she even got to like the balloons.
