Friends please read and share…… Recently I heard an argument which contained the following: • Narendra Modi should not have given help of Rs.1000 Cr.to the flood victims of Jammu and Kashmir because they are separatists and act against our country. •Rs.1000/- Cr is a huge sum. •Who is Narendra Modi to give this money? Whether this money belongs to him? (रस्त्यावरच्या भाषेत बापाचा माल.) •This argument was successfully used to silence a Modi supporter. Now whatever I am writing is not to counter these arguments because it’s a waste of time to argue with politically ignorant, ill-informed and having habit of arguing for the sake of it. I am doing this as there may be many who say such things in a forceful manner and there are also some of the Modi supporters who are likely to get carried away or silenced. And I am worried there are such chances. We have seen last year that many educated got carried away to the public postures and apparently convincing ways of that self-proclaimed third rate anarchist AK49. 1. To say that the help is for separatists is like supporting the anti -nationals and terrorists. This is what they want. In fact central government has acted in a swift manner and has come to the rescue much faster than non-existent state government. Modiji’s initiative is being praised across the political spectrum. It is extremely important to give a sense of belonging to the people of Jammu and Kashmir. 2. A sum is huge or small depends on the perception. A person who does not have idea about the budget figures and has exposure only up to corporate level may feel that it’s a big sum. But anyone who is aware of the volume of government business this sum is peanuts. 3. Whose money it is? Anyone who has studied income tax even up to elementary level should know that under section 80G a deduction is available up to 100% of donations made to Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund subject to restrictions under that section. You must have read very recent advertisements appealing everyone to donate handsomely to this fund. These are probably given to replenish the fund which is presently being utilised. 4. Each Modi supporter who discuss politics regularly in public or in the virtual world should keep himself update to the extent possible because in years to come they will face barrage of questions and arguments from the frustrated souls who are nursing their burning hearts at the spectacular victory of BJP in LS 2014.
