IDQ20066 Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology Queensland Region Tropical Cyclone Warning Centre TROPICAL CYCLONE INFORMATION BULLETIN For 2:02 pm EST on Monday 3 February 2014 At 1 pm EST Monday, Ex-Tropical Cyclone Edna with central pressure 997 hPa was located over the Coral Sea near latitude 13.8 south longitude 154.2 east, which is about 970 km east northeast of Cairns. The low is currently moving east northeast at about 43 kilometres per hour. Tropical low (Ex-TC Edna) is slowly developing in the northern Coral Sea, well off the east Qld coast. The system is not expected to have a direct effect on the weather over Qld. The system is moving eastwards but may turn southwards over the next 24 hours and move towards north part of New Caledonia in the next 3 days. The next Information Bulletin will be issued by 5 pm EST today.
