Friends, we are reaching out to you for urgent help. Our dear friend and colleague, Philippe Devé, was very recently diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia, which is a rare and very aggressive form of cancer affecting the blood and marrow. Philippe is currently undergoing chemotherapy, but is in desperate need of a bone marrow donor. Time is of the essence as the match must be found by the end of October. Our time is running out. In order to help Philippe, we have organized a targeted drive wherein willing donors can be tested to determine if they are a potential match for Philippe. The test is very simple, a thirty second cotton swab of the inner-mouth. Although the chances of a match are slim (1 in 50,000), the wider we cast the net, the better our chances of finding a match.
