Vegetable shares will begin in mid-June and run through late-October. LIMITED AVAILABILITY! Your Bountiful Box Purchasing your Frillman Farms share means you commit to being our customer for the entire harvest season, enjoying our farm fresh vegetables grown especially for you using organic growing techniques and NOT pesticides or other hazardous chemicals. Your investment creates a sound market that allows us to continue sprouting your favorite heirloom varieties. We’re dedicated to serving up the tastiest vegetables you can get your hands on! Let’s Talk Quantity • Produce selections, total volume and box weights will vary each week. • One 3/4 bushel of produce—ideally, what you’ll receive—is about 1 1/2 paper grocery bags. • Each full share will feed two vegetarians or four omnivores and offer as much variety as available. • Throughout the season, you’ll get everything from leafy spring greens to more dense, late summer and fall produce. Your box may look like this: o 2 heads of lettuce o 1 portion salad greens (such as arugula) o 1-2 cooking greens (such as kale) o 2 root crops (beets and carrots, for example) o 1-2 brassicas, also known as “cold weather crops” (think cabbage) o Bunch of onion’s or one garlic head o Various Herbs o Your share of fruiting crops like tomatoes, peppers, melons and more! We offer an eye-popping array of Heirloom GMO-free crops—including more than 10 varieties of Heirloom tomatoes—and are known for our freshly laid eggs. We take pride in our feed ratios, giving our hens exactly what they need to maintain a healthy diet. We dont believe in clipping wings or trimming beaks. Plenty of Fresh air, room to roam, and sunflower seeds give our girls a spoiled life—thats the way we prefer it. After all, we know that happy hens make for amazing eggs. With more than 160 ladies on the farm, we sell more than 100 dozen eggs each week. Thats nothing to cluck about! Whether you’re interested in our freshly harvested honey, amazing eggs, or impressive variety of Heirloom vegetables, we hope you’ll share in our bounty. Our Boss: Mother Nature The annual crop yield at Frillman Farms depends on two things: our hard work and the unpredictable weather. While we absolutely embrace the daily demands involved with delivering you the freshest vegetables possible, we cannot control when the rain falls, sun shines or temperatures fluctuate. That makes offering certain CSA guarantees impossible. By opting into our program, you share the risk and the reward—you’ll get your portion of our crop yield, which Mother Nature may help dictate. One thing we WILL guarantee: We’ll do everything in our power to get you regular helpings of veggies that are as bountiful as possible. Note: Even extreme weather will not deprive you of all of your vegetables. Frillman Farms works very hard to satisfy customers during both droughts and floods using various water control methods. We do what it takes to earn a healthy yield because our livelihood depends on it!
