Fripp version. Water Music I Here Comes The Flood Water Music - TopicsExpress

Fripp version. Water Music I Here Comes The Flood Water Music II I made a video to these three consecutive songs back in October/November/December of 1984. It was a collage of various filmed Day entries in the 8k range. There was an autumn tree in a cool heavy wind; a swampy abandoned pool with a tire tube; a frayed basketball net, me on the porch with dark sunglasses and/or various other places; and other assorted imagery. Also interspersed in the production was my first software program, written on a Commodore 64k computer: it was a poem generator based on whatever list of 100 or so words that you added to the raw input list. It flashed randomly selected sets of those words, about five or six at a time, on a TV monitor, just barely long enough to read them, and then it went on to the next random grouping from your word list, endlessly, unless you pulled the plug. The program was saved on a cassette tape because the entire computer consisted of just a keyboard -- a RAM card within it, and outputs for connecting the guts to a TV set. Does this help explain anything which may have not made much sense prior to your digesting the above rather large paragraph? Probably not. Water to water. Twenty years worth. Gabriel/Fripp video seen in my FB feed just now c/o Peter Shippy.
