From 1949, the cult noire film Gun Crazy. This scene is significant for two reasons. One is that it is a classic example of a long take, meaning this scene was shot all in one long take, which is quite unusual. The second reason is the films significance to CV historians because the scene was filmed in Montrose, so you get a clear look at the town in 1949. Market St., Broadview Dr., North Verdugo Rd., Ocean View and Honolulu Ave. are all featured in this bank hold up segment which takes place in front of Security Pacific National Bank (Today, the site of Fayes). One humorous note is that the burglar alarm sound effect seems to follow the get-away car all the way down Ocean View to Broadview.
