From 2015 students in Year 7 to Year 10 will have the opportunity to participate in the ICT4ME@RHHS - BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) Program. This program will allow students with an approved portable device to access the Rooty Hill High School digital curriculum through the secure Rooty Hill High School Domain. Students from Year 7 to Year 10 will be encouraged to bring an approved portable device (laptop or convertible Tablet) to school to support their learning outcomes. Students who participate in the ICT4ME@RHHS - BYOD program in 2015 will be required to sign a Student Agreement. This agreement must be returned to the school with the required device details. Once approved, students will be granted permission to bring their device for use at school utilising the schools wireless network infrastructure. Details of the required minimum device specifications, suggested device types suitable for use in the school environment and BYOD Acceptable Use Policy are available on the school website at rootyhill-h.schools.nsw.edu.au (under the BYOD menu). For students participating in the BYOD program in 2015: 1. The school will not collect subject contributions in 2015 ($200) (Yr7 – Yr10) 2. The school will provide exercise books and paper based materials for students. A device can be purchased from any retailer but must meet the minimum requirements that have been published on the minimum requirements specification sheet.
