From CL - In a nutshell... For What Its Worth (smallbany etc...) Why does anybody waste time on people and genres that dont make them happy? When you are in a band, you affect everyones dynamic. When you set the bar at average, thats what you will be. If you dont practice on your own time, you waste everyone elses. And trying not to overreach, step on toes, and wreck egos is a fine line to straddle. It also causes undo stress in an otherwise completely fulfilling, awesome activity. Just be honest with yourself first, instead of wanting to just get out and play. It takes all members doing their part correctly, consistently and wholeheartedly to make it sound good enough to draw people back to come see you. btw, this IS the forum to discuss this. Getting quality, constructive feedback from the music community makes it better for all of us..
