** From Eden Clark : Im not trying to start any battles of opinion here (please play nice in your comments), and yes Dr Sears can be controversial (he wrote the well known The Vaccine Book -- and he is actually Aquilines pediatrician, so I can vouch for him being a really nice, well educated and caring man). Although he isnt pointing the finger at what is causing autism, it is incredibly scary to look at this fact: 20 or so years ago autism was 1 in 10,000, then it grew to 1 in 1000.. and then jumped to 1 in 150. For this last year the CDC has now reported its 1 IN 49 children (in the US)! To his point - if measles or whooping cough hit this many infants there would mass hysteria in the news and labeled an epidemic. But why isnt more awareness out there? Who knows if its genetic mutations vs chemicals in our food vs vaccine ingredients vs environmental.... maybe a combo of all of the above. If you read the comments after the article, one user (who has an autistic child) said it well that These are not simply socially awkward people with quirks. These are children with a profound and devastating developmental disorder, not easily overlooked or missed. Sending love to all parents and children who suffer. I couldnt imagine having so much light in a child disappear at just a few years old. I pray our world and the earth gets healed, and fast.
