From Frederick Jones: What Ive learned: Ive been asked over the past few days of my thoughts on the Ferguson, St. Louis shooting. I dont know, and you dont know. What we do know is what the media has fed us. I know there is an 18 year old dead. I know that he was shot by an officer. I know that I believe in Due Process for the bad guy, even when the good guy may have been the bad guy. But wait there were eyewitnesses you say. Over the years Ive found that eyewitnesses can be lie witnesses. Wait Fred youre a Policeman can you truly be unbias? Well, Ive been a Black Man longer then Ive been a Policeman, i think i can.My worst nightmare as a parent is to have a knock on my door with someone telling me my child was shot because the police use excessive force. My worst nightmare as a law enforcement officer is the Chaplin knocking on my door to tell my wife I was killed because they believed I hesitated, afraid I would be tried in the court of public opinion. In conclusion if that officer used excessive force he should be criminal charged. If an 18 year old died because the officer was protecting his own life then that officer should be exonerated. Let the process work people. I love this and I love you Fred!!
