From Genesis 39:2, it is clear that success is not what you have, - TopicsExpress

From Genesis 39:2, it is clear that success is not what you have, but rather who you have.. Joseph literally had nothing, but at the same time, he had everything because Jesus was with him. The material things that we have accumulated or are trying to amass do not make us a success. It is the presence of the Lord in our lives that makes us a success! We need to learn to stop pursuing things and to start pursuing Him. God sees our relationship with Him as the only thing that we need for every success in our lives. I can’t imagine starting in a worse place than Joseph. He was completely naked. He had absolutely nothing! No bank accounts, no educational qualifications, no natural connections with people of influence, nothing. If we think that like Joseph, we have nothing, well, we can start believing in the power of the presence of the Lord in our lives. Really puts into perspective of what Matthew 5:3 is trying to get across. We are poor in spirit without Christ, with Him we have the Kingdom of Heaven. Jesus is who and what makes us rich, not our personal positions or accomplishments. We just have to humbly accept that without Christ, we are poor in spirit, its that simple acknowledgment that we inherit the Kingdom of Heaven. Signs & Wonders!
