From LTLO talker Misty Massey Please let your readers know. Kroger and McDonalds have decided to process all transactions as Debit transactions. Even if u tell the machine to process as credit. This causes fees to be added to your bank account. At first when I noticed the added 50 cent fee I thought perhaps I had hit the wrong button. However today I stopped in at my bank to find out that Kroger and McDonalds have decided to do this. When I called Kroger, bcuz I shop there almost daily (I buy dinner each night instead of once a week) they have charged my account $10+ OVER THE PAST WEEK. They stated they decided to do this at the beginning of the year, and werent sure if they told customers. Its not written by any of the registers for patrons to be aware of. I was very upset and will no longer be shopping at Kroger. I am only upset as no one bothered to tell anyone and make it the consumers choice. Please let ur talkers know so they arent taken by surprise
