From Monica Casper, TFW managing co-editor, who also publishes TRIVIA: Voices of Feminism: The spring issue of TRIVIA is here at last! And it’s filled with art, poetry, critical essays, interviews, and narratives that explore the beautiful multiplicity of “Feminisms.” We asked for writing and visual art that attempted to “to locate the radical potential in feminisms to effect change, while also querying the mundane, everyday, interior spaces of feminism.” Issue 16 is dedicated to those feminisms. Here, you’ll find feminism in an abundance of voices and manifestations, from sustainable feminism to rituals, from Margaret Sanger to Barbie, from Hildegard of Bingen to Emily Carr, from New Orleans to Isla Mujeres, from duels and stitches to braids and goddesses. You’ll find interviews with novelist and poet Marge Piercy and playwrights Denise Duhamel and Maureen Seaton, as well as a review of Molly Sutton Kiefer’s Nestuary. We have poetry from the incomparable Barbara Mor alongside both returning and new voices.
