News media across the state recently reported the results of a new statewide poll conducted by The Kitchens Group, a national polling firm based in Florida. That survey of likely voters showed us leading Rick Scott by double digits! That’s right, in a head-to-head match up, we beat Rick Scott 55 to 45! It’s clear that our grassroots campaign is building momentum – and Rick Scott’s lack of leadership is wearing thin with voters across the state. But we know Rick Scott. He spent more than $75 million of his own money to buy the election last time – and he’ll spend even more this time. I don’t need to out spend Rick Scott to win – but I do need sufficient funds to run an effective statewide campaign. That’s why I’ve now begun to focus on fundraising and I’m counting on you to help me even more than you already have.
