From Pag-Asa...continous monitoring On Tuesday(August 20) the western section of Luzon will continue to experience monsoon rains due to the enhanced Southwest Mosoon while Western Visayas and the rest of Luzon will have cloudy skies with scattered light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms. Mindanao and the rest of Visayas will have generally fair weather apart from localized thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening. The Southwest Monsoon continue to bring rains over Luzon by Wednesday & Thursday (August 21-22) the expected exit of tropical cyclone "MARING" in the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) during this period will bring improved weather condition over Palawan and Western Visayas. These areas including Mindanao will be partly cloudy to cloudy with chances of isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms. By Friday (August 23), there will be a gradual improvement of the weather conditon over Luzon but its western section will continue to have cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms particularly over Northern and Central Luzon while partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms will be experienced over Mindanao, Visayas and the rest of Luzon. For the rest of the outlook period (August 24-26) the Southwest Monsoon will continue to have a significant effect over Northern Luzon and will bring cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms while the rest of the country will generally have fair weather aside from isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.
