From Simplify Do you text a lot? This week we’ve got two texting apps so good that you’ll wonder why Google or even apple never thought of them. The first one is beautiful, simple to use and great for having multiple conversations at the same time, has a kick ass interface and lets you send pictures in a quarter of the time. The second app will completely change the way you text. We’ll start you off with the beautifully simple option; Try it out for a few days, and on Thursday, we’ll show you an sms app that borders on being a “game changer”. Hello sms is a breath of fresh air in a fairly stale sms app market; it offers a legitimately better texting experience where most 3rd party texting apps just offer you nice backgrounds and more smiley faces (or as we like to call it, putting lipstick on a pig). Hello sms brings you tabbed text messaging. Your recent conversations are on the left of the screen, allowing you to change quickly between convo’s with one tap. In case you’re not counting, that’s half of the # of steps it takes to change conversations with Messages (the default android texting app) or Hangouts. Pressing the camera icon in the bottom corner brings up a pretty clever screen: the top half shows your camera and is ready to snap a photo, the bottom half shows your gallery in case you wanted to send an existing image. Finally, you can chose between white and black themes, or have it change automatically to the black theme at night. Easy to learn: 5 –You’ll figure out how to use this app instantly, this is a great example of good design being as little design as possible. Interface: 4.5 –The interface is beautiful and intuitive. Useful: 5 –A given for core apps such as Phone, e-mail, sms, etc. Innovative: 4 –A slight but powerful change to the way texting has always been done, which make you wonder why Apple or Google never thought of this.
