From Storm Search 7 Chief Meteorologist Steve Kersh - Good Sunday morning! It sure was nice to have some measurable rainfall yesterday over parts of Amarillo and Canyon with the Brandt Farms near Umbarger getting .25" of much-needed rainfall! Some lingering showers this morning have dropped .05" at our Tri-State Ford/Amarillo Hyundai SchoolNet site located 4 miles north of Amistad, NM, at the Shields Ranch! This upper-level disturbance will continue to move off to the northwest this morning and we will have sunny to mostly sunny skies today as high temperatures rise into the 90s again today. Winds will blow from the south and southwest at 5-15 mph, but could increase to 10-20 mph late this afternoon.
