From Team Power Monkey Coach @colinpgeraghty-How gymnasts make the kipping bar muscle up easier - combining a swing and a kip (clip 3) 1. Kipping BMU 2. Glide kip 3. Hybrid of 1+2 *for any kipping pull up variation, swinging is the enemy. But with bar MU, any swing you have will stop once youre at the top (support) So by adding a small swing to your kip gives you a glide kip effect. Jumping into the first rep (at least a foot from the bar) and doing your normal kip from there will add a little swing to your first rep.
