From Terri Hahn: Since the last email I have driven past the bridge and jumped for joy when I saw that the top railings are almost completed. So with this in mind I am addressing the parties involved with a punch list of what needs to be done and perhaps this will prompt them within the next four or six weeks (or earlier) to respond to the community at large – as to when we might anticipate the bridge opening. Aldo gave us an update in mid June – which did not have any timelines – however in my email of last week the issues list seems to be getting shorter. The below is what will follow once the new bridge opens – and there are probably other requirements that I am leaving off. Demolition/Removal of Old Road Center Support Pier/Old Bridge Demolition Site Clean Up Removal – Fallen Trees & Stumps Plantings/Landscaping**** ****For those of you who might be unaware it was a condition of Inland & Wetlands Commission in granting the permit that a bond be posted to cover the ground cover and plantings for a period of two years – so considering that this year is over the plantings will be done in Spring 2014 and the bond requirement will be in place thru 2016. David Flatau had acknowledged this – however he is not here anymore so I am just putting this on the list. The approach road to the old bridge on both sides is sorely in need of repair and – and we should not be held responsible for a TTPOA charge for repair of this area, at this point in time. Regards, Terri S Hahn President/TTPOA
