From To The Point: Letds see if the YouTube videoURLs link up THE DAWN OF AMERICA 3.0 Written by Dr. Jack Wheeler Wednesday, 05 November 2014 Its time for... youtube/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=79CWb23NZrc Yes, thats Paul McCartney playing guitar for Jagger and Bowie. The performance was in 1986, but we can dance and sing our version today. Calling out around the world, are you ready for a brand new beat? Americas here and the time is right for dancing in the street. As Churchill quipped, You can always count on Americans to do the right thing - after theyve tried everything else. Yesterday they heroically recovered from their catastrophic mistakes of 2008 and 2012. Heres what they played for the Dems yesterday, starting with Bob Berryhills famous cackle back in 1963: youtube/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=W5D07c0dJuQ We get to jump for joy listening to this - feeling young like the kids in the video. For indeed, America began regaining her youth on Nov 4, not just metaphorically but literally - for young Millennial voters rejected the Dems just as much us old white folks. youtube/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=ybtl9qVFAjc So, okay, after we sing and dance and polish off 4 fingers of Glenmoranjie, heres our and the GOPs theme song: And well be... Taking care of business, Every day Taking care of business, Every way Well be taking care of business, Its all right Taking care of business, And working overtime But working towards what? America 3.0. We saw its dawning this morning with the astounding election returns of GOP victories across the country. This is not a simple rejection of Zero. It is far deeper than that. It is the rejection of the Dem vision for America, the maintenance and expansion of the obsolete America 2.0 industrial big government state. We discussed first in From 9/11 to 3.0 (September 2013). Its worth re-reading - and the book thats now a realistic blueprint for Americas future: America 3.0: Rebooting American Prosperity in the 21st Century - Why Americas Greatest Days Are Yet to Come, by James Bennett and Michael Lotus. Briefly, America 1.0 is the original, rural and agrarian, embodying Jeffersonian individualism. This lasted from the first British settlers in the early 1600s to 1860 and the Civil War. Its the America de Tocqueville described in the 1830s, and hardly had much government at all. America 2.0 was the originals transformation into an industrial, urbanized society dominated by gargantuan units - big cities, big corporations, big labor unions, and most of all, big government. Today, America 2.0 has reached an apotheosis of failure. The authors observe that Americas government is today in a state of decay reminiscent of the Brezhnev period of the Soviet Union, run by apparatchiks with no new ideas, repeating the same clichés and failed policies, unaware their system was doomed. Yesterdays election made this clear: America 2.0 is dying and cannot be revived, no matter how much Democrats wish to. America 3.0 is the refitting of our institutions to a post-industrial, networked, decentralized society, with a more individualistic, voluntarist, anti-bureaucratic culture. Yesterday, the GOP received a massive mandate to begin dismantling the 2.0 legacy state - which means primarily defunding and eliminating entire federal agencies such as Education and the EPA, and returning most federal programs to the states via the 10th Amendment. They have to be smart about this of course, and act with a great deal of finesse. Yet this is long range. What about right now? The most immediate concern is the lame duck session that starts next Wednesday (11/12). There are two basic threats. Heres how to counter them. *The Reid Senate and anything it passes has no legitimacy whatever given the Pubs incoming majority with a 9 to 10 seat gain (8 now including Alaska, Landrieu a goner in the runoff next month, and Virginia possible with recount). Ted Cruz will do what he does best, obstruct and block any Reid nefariousness, such as ramming through Zero judicial appointments or an Attorney General worse than Holder (like Tom Perez). *The real opportunity to block a Zero Executive Order, such as one on Amnesty which the White House is threatening to issue no matter how big a shellacking the Dems get on Nov 4, comes with the expiration of the Continuing Resolution on December 11. This is the Big Enchilada of the moment. Reid blocked the passage of a budget for FY 2015 as hes done for years. Boehner passed a CR to fund the government on September 19 for less than 90 days. In other words, the federalies run out of money unless another CR is passed during the lame duck. Here is where it gets interesting. This new CR can contain specific amendments prohibiting any money whatever spent implementing Zeros Executive Amnesty, and any funding whatever of the Office of Attorney General should a lame duck AG appointment be rammed through. Thats hardball, so we get to see very quickly if the Pubs with their massive mandate have the guts to play it. If they do, then Zero and the Dems really are crippled for the foreseeable future. Thats if the Pubs dont cripple themselves with intraparty Teaparty vs. Rino warfare and focus on THE enemy, which is Zero. The Dems and the Enemedia will do everything they can to foment Pub dissention. The enemy is in the White House, not amongst themselves. If the Pubs do this, Zeros unpopularity will continue to grow. So much so that the survival instinct of Dems will kick in as they realize they must clear Zero from the path to 2016. For them to have a chance at reelection, and for their presidential candidate to have a chance, theyll realize he has to get out of the way. His resignation, in other words, will soon be in the cards as the solution to Dem travails. Otherwise, hell drag them all to perdition. As a prelude to that, expect the repeal of Obamacare with a sufficient number of Dems voting to override the veto. Its pain, delayed until after this election, will become unbearable, an albatross that has to be cast off Dem necks well before the next election. Now, can I ask a favor? No buts. To the above, no yeah, but... pessimism. Screw pessimism. This is not the time for it. This is a time of jumping for joy. For crying tears of happiness for America. We are witnessing the dawn of a renewed America, an America that can be young and free once more. America 3.0 - here it comes. Hallelujah! Ps: The original version of Dancing in the Street was by Martha & the Vandellas in 1964. Here they are that year on the Ed Sullivan Show: youtube/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=RGpgkCE41x8 Americas dancing, theyre dancing in the street.
