From Todays Martyrs Todays report contains an appeal from Bishop Rufin Anthony of the Diocese of Lahore in Pakistan. Asia Noreen Bibi, a wife and mother of five who was convicted of blasphemy with false testimony and sentenced to death, suffered the disappointment today of having her appeal to the Lahore High Court denied. The death sentence was upheld. Her only hope now is an appeal to the Supreme Court in Islamabad. Bishop Anthony has requested that Christians around the world unite in prayer for the deliverance of Asia Noreen Bibi. He has asked that this be done this coming Sunday, October 19, 2014.
