West Jordan police Detective Jedediah “JR” Steadman, 34, is 59, 160lbs, brown hair/brown eyes. He left his home on the morning of 30 December following a minor argument with his wife the night before and has not been seen nor heard from since. Detective Steadman is an avid outdoorsman, likes to hunt and fish and it is believed possible he became stranded somewhere. Police say they have no reason to suspect suicide or foul play. Anyone with any information is asked to call the West Jordan Police Department at 801-840-4000. Callers should reference case number 14H018087. Update Friday evening: several searches were done today in six different areas he possibly could have been (his go-to spots for hunting and fishing) but to no avail. Searches will continue on Saturday (03 Jan.) Updated Saturday 1300: he does not have his phone and bank records have not yielded any clues, They have searched numerous places and now are searching statewide and beyond.
