Subject: Reservation Policy on the basis of caste/creed and religion Existing reservation policy system and procedure is totally bias and flawed in our secular country. Our founding fathers of the constitution gave reservations to SC/ST only for a period of 10 years only. Later on the political class added more castes along with SC/ST and extended the period from 10 years till date and the process is still going on under the garb of doing social engineering. All the citizens irrespective of their castes/creed and religion are equal in front of the constitution in a secular country. Any amendments done in the constitution which is against the Basic Doctrine and ultra wires of the constitution as passed by the parliament can be struck down by the Honorable Supreme Court of India. Caste/Creed and religion based reservations and that too for certain sections of Hindu religion only thereby depriving the left out sections of Hindu Religion as well as citizens of other religions in a secular country like India is totally unconstitutional and ultrawires of the constitutional and the Honorable Supreme Court of India can strike down the policy on the basis of caste/creed and religion if a writ petition or a PIL is filed by any citizen of the nation in the Honorable Supreme Court of India. If the govt. really wants to help the financial weaker sections of the citizens in the name of social engineering, then it should draw a Lakshman Rekha of Annual Income of Poverty line and the families irrespective of their caste/creed and religion who fall below the poverty line should be given National Scholarships free of interest in place of caste/creed and religion based reservations so that such families can educate their children properly who can compete with their fellow citizens in every sphere of life. The existing reservation system on the basis of caste/creed and religion is unconstitutional and ultrawires of the constitution and must be abolished. Reservations lead to hatred among different sections of society as well as among the citizens of different religions in a secular India. More over reservation lead to division and disunity in the Indian society which can prove to be very fatal one day for the Indian society as well as for the nation. This all is being done by the political class for their cheap vote bank politics as it is the easiest way to come to power by dividing the Indian society on the basis caste/creed and religion i.e. Divide and Rule Policy.
