From Wayne: Yet another iconic music venue in danger of being closed down. The Fleece in Bristol is a venue that is integral to the musical heritage of the city and should be revered and lauded as such, not as a proposed site for new flats! Being Bristol born & bred I know what the venue means to the city and the locals and I have played the Fleece several times with The Mission and also solo and it is a lovely, warm, atmospheric venue to play. It is also a great venue to see bands, PJ Harvey amongst those that I have personally seen perform there. If you value your live music and going to see bands, both new and old, then sign this petition and make a stance not just for Bristols Fleece but for music venues everywhere. And please share this!
