From a group of many trees I picked you to be mine, You stood out from the others As a special Christmas pine. I gave you a warm home And water I did share Decked you out with colored lights Decorations hung with care You stood so proud both day and night Providing Christmas love By night you were at your best With an angel up above. Thanks for giving us so much joy On a special holiday You sacrificed you life this year To warm our Christmas Day. But now its time you must move on For Christmas has now gone by Just wanted to make sure you knew In vain you did not die.
