From a member: Hey I havent said anything in a long time but Im giving an update as of now... Its kind of a sad and happy one but... Bad news is while I was receiving treatment my wife has officially started the divorce and we r legally separated... Good news is I have accepted this because I have put her through a lot these last few years and she says she just cant do it anymore... Im out of treatment and I still have struggles but Im learning more about them everyday and trying to make myself a better person... I moved back to my home town and I think I have found someone that understands me but I have told her I dont want to rush things cause Im focusing on me right now... Something I learned in treatment is o have to put me first before I can bring someone else in... So Im doing just that... I am happier then I have been in a long time and Im no longer drinking as heavy as I was... I might have maybe at most 3 beers... Mainly just one... I want to thank u for everything... If I hadnt messaged u that early morning while I was drunk and just feeling absolutely rock.bottom I think I would have ended it and wouldnt be here today... So from the bottom of my heart thank u... I will continue to get help and message u with updates... I am a much happier veteran and person all around for u setting me on the right path... A million thanks
