From a member: My husband is hanging on by a thread right now. He will pull over for his 3rd OWI Memorial Day weekend (previous OWIs in 1991 and 2011). The district attorney is offering 110 days in jail, no lower. If he goes to jail, he will lose his job. One of his therapists at the Vet Center sent a letter to the court saying that he will not be able to function in jail, because of his PTSD. We do have a Veterans Treatment Court in our area, but the district attorney will not recommend him for it, because he will not recommend anyone for the program. His PTSD, anxiety, and depression are so ramped up right now. He has made a few suicidal statements, but thankfully he disclosed it to his therapist at the Vet Center, and they are working through it. I just dont know how to help him right now.
