From government: At 12.28 pm today, a chartered cargo aircraft, after landing, rolled off the runway towards the north end of Owen Roberts International Airport on Grand Cayman. As a result the airport closed for arrivals and departures so that crews could work to move the aircraft, a Cayman Islands Airports Authority (CIAA) release states. The aircraft chartered by Cayman Airways landed without issue, but while still on its final landing roll at slow speed, reportedly experienced an apparent steering problem. This resulted in the aircraft leaving the runway on the north side of the runway strip, according to CIAA.There were no injuries reported, CIAA adds.
