From my fiend Dave Campfield about his great film Caesar and Ottos Deadly Christmas: FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: LI FILMMAKER TO PREMIERE NEW DVD RELEASE AT LONG ISLAND’S LAST VIDEO STORE Northport, New York - October 28, 2013 Filmmaker Dave Campfield’s latest comedy-horror, CAESAR & OTTO’S DEADLY XMAS, is set for DVD release November 19th, and will be carried on the shelves of the biggest remaining rental chains in North America (Family Video, and Blockbuster), then on VOD where it will be available in approximately 30 million homes. The film stars Campfield, and fellow Long Island native Paul Chomicki as two Abbott and Costello inspired nitwits who find themselves in horrific situations. The film features a wide array of B-movie stars such as Linnea Quigley, yet was accomplished for a microbudget. The comedy/horror had a successful run at genre film festivals where it picked up awards for Best Screenplay at Philadelphia’s Terror Film Festival, Best Actor at San Antonio’s Horrific Film Fest, Second place overall at Elvira’s Horror Hunt, and Best screenplay at Long Island’s Macabre Faire film fest. “I loved this film” said Devil’s Reject’s star Bill Mosley. Aint it cool news and Horrorhound magazine likewise praised it, offering “The filmmaking is brilliant. Follow this guy. He is producing films like no other. On Saturday November 16th, A DVD release party will be held before you can buy it at 112 Video, the last remaining video store on Long Island. Campfield will be in attendance to autograph copies of the film, as well as distributor’s “Wild Eye Releasing” president Rob Hauschild. Screenings of the film will also be s ongoing screening of the film. Around the same time, Campfield takes over hosting duties on an live streaming interactive program named Nerdgasm, which takes on Nerd culture, from film to video games. On a personal note, Campfield adds “I’ve been pursuing film my entire life. I struggle day in day out to attain this goal, knowing full well how unrealistic it is.
