From my first trip to Kashmir this July, a photo I made during the morning namaaz at Eid-Gah Park on the occasion of Eid Ul Adha. The state has been ravaged by the fury of the deluge and is reduced to a ghostly existence, much like the north eastern states of Assam and Meghalaya, both battling an under reported flood situation of equal gravity. This Eid, lets not just pray but participate in their long journey to recovery. For those of you looking to volunteer or wish to send rations and supplies, please write in to kathacollective@gmail.
