From my leg conditioning day - the Jefferson.... A lot if people asked why I was doing deadlifts between my legs and that I was humping the bar (save the stupid comments next time)...So wanted to show some more of the movement and that is targeted for the hams and glutes, and is not a deadlift, is not a squat, but yes has similar biomechanics to both. It is a move that requires sufficient mobility and a mechanically strong deadlift to order to properly execute it as the position of the movement can put the body in a vulnerable twisted position aka dont just jump over weight and smash these out - it is a movement to practice and progress with (I have been doing them for a long time).
