From my months of research on the TPP heres a quick rundown on what is being proposed in this agreement our government is signing us up for, you will be shocked. Our medicines will become more expensive and patents will restrict what we can afford. We would be forced to allow Genetically modified plants into NZ and it would be illegal to label food containing them. Our environmental laws will be seen as barriers and our conservation areas and National Parks will be milled and mined. Our internet freedom will be restricted and 3 strikes system set up, after that no internet. Other countries in this agreement have few environmental protections, low wages and no unions leading to exploitation. We would be obliged to source goods from these countries and more jobs will be off shored and more NZers on the benefit Do we still live in a democracy? our government has been borrowing $27 million a day since it was elected, they are busy selling off our income earning asetts so how can we ever get out of debt?. And why does our government want to sign it???
