From my own observations of friends, family, NATURALLY HEALING INC members and clients, it is of my belief that it is better to eat your water, than to drink it. That is, in the form of WHOLE FRUITS. Bananas are the LEAST hydrated fruit, thats why this fruit is good for diarrhea. Watermelon is the MOST hydrated fruit, and is encouraged for not only constipation, but also to dissolve kidney stones. Grapefruit, (which may interfere with certain medications, check your labels) oranges, berries, cucumbers, tomatoes, grapes etc as well as a number of other fruits are LOADED with HYDRATION. I recommend 5 or more HYDRATED fruits per day for the sedentary lifestyles, 9-5 desk jobs, sleeping policemen, government officials, chefs, doctors, teachers, lawyers, gamers; but for the athlete, active lifestyle, personal trainer, outdoor adventurer, etc I recommend 8 or more portions of fruits per day. A portion is either the whole fruit which is your handheld size for eg one banana, or one orange, or two tangerines, or a whole grapefruit; Or when cut up whole you will have 8-10 ozs of fruit for eg cup of grapes, cup of watermelon, cup of cantaloupes. For diabetics - I have seen over and over that it is possible to ingest fruit, in smaller portions, throughout the day, while monitoring yourself as you would do any other food. Citrus fruits and berries are less sweet and full of phytochemicals and have cell repairing properties. I consider them your best friend. If you find a fruit to interfere with your blood sugar levels then be sure to change to a different fruit, because they do not all affect you in the same way, as they have different amounts & types of sugar.
