From my trip last month to Iceland: This is Fjadrargljufur canyon, 100 meters deep and 2 kilometers long. On a lesser scale was the water that filled the tire tracks. Im wearing my parka over a thick alpaca sweater over a turtleneck over a silk blouse. I have waterproof nylon pants over wool pants. My boots are fleece-lined. Topping it all off is a wool beret and a long cashmere scarf. I kept dry and toasty warm.
