From our outdoor columnist, Joe Martino: This past Saturday was the first chance that my son Nicholas and I had to go bowhunting for deer since the season opened on Oct 1. With his football schedule, my work schedule and a slew of other obligations, it is just sometimes tough to get out much. We generally do not get too excited about it anyway until November rolls around. That is when we tend to let a few things slide in order to get ourselves into a tree.
