From the 11 - 14 September thousands of places round the country - TopicsExpress

From the 11 - 14 September thousands of places round the country will open their doors to the public for free, with help from English Heritage. Many are normally closed to the public so this is your chance to see your heritage. In North Yorkshire you could explore the youth hostel next to Whitby Abbey, descend into the mausoleum at Little Ouseburn, climb Harlow Tower in Harrogate or visit the rarely opened chapel at Scotch corner, the star of the book The Plot, and just down the road from Rievaulx Abbey. Theres plenty to choose from so have a look at the list and see where youd like to explore.
