From the 21 Lessons of Merlyn Chapter 7: Upon This Hallowed Ground Broken from my daydream, we passed back through the stone (disciple) tunnel, and out into a clear (Truthful Understanding) night (Time of Ignorance) filled with stars (Human multitude). Merlyn directed me to the footpath, which returned us to the plateaus (Level place of thought) entrance. This time we went through the stone (disciple) rampart (Defensive Wall), and emerged onto a vast expanse of fallen timber (Humans Fallen in their thoughts of the heavens, like trees fallen to the ground) and carven rock (foundations). It was evident that here lay, a once prosperous (Rich in heavenly knowledge) city, probably Roman from the Pillars (Places of thought considered core and essential, upon which the foundation of thought stands) and fragments (Pieces of truth) of statues strewn everywhere. Apart from the ruins themselves, the place had an air (mood) of raw (Natural) beauty, to it which captivated me, made me feel light (Truth) headed. The view of the surrounding countryside was breathtaking, its visual radius having been no less than five leagues. The place enchanted me.
