EXCLUSIVE VIDEO BY: Craig Urban A two alarm fire Monday evening in a Glen Burnie condominium has sent one resident to the hospital with minor burns and caused the temporary displacement of the occupants of 11 units. Just after 9:40 p.m. on Monday, multiple 911 calls were received reporting a building fire in the 100 block of Water Fountain Way in Glen Burnie. Several callers also reported residents trapped in the building. The first arriving units discovered a fire in a lower level condominium in the three story building. Firefighters extinguished the fire, containing it to the unit of origin, while simultaneously removing four trapped occupants from the upper levels of the building by use of ground ladders. Sixty firefighters, including some from Baltimore City, brought the fire under control in about 40 minutes. A resident from the unit where the fire originated was transported to Harbor Hospital with minor burns. There were no other injuries. The building contains 12 condominium units, 11 of which were occupied. The occupants of all 11 units have been temporarily displaced and assisted by the Red Cross. Fire Investigators have determined that the fire was accidental as the result of a kitchen fire. Damages have been estimated at approximately $75,000 to structure and contents.
