The program provides Pinal County high school students and opportunity to get an early start Into college by taking courses while still enrolled in high school. Students accepted into the Early College program receive a tuition waiver from Central Arizona College for up to 5 college Credit hours. The tuition waiver covers regular in-state tuition and fees. Students are responsible for the purchase of textbooks, class materials, and are responsible for their own transportation to and from campus. For more details on the Early College program please visit centralaz.edu/earlycollege Important Dates from Guidance: JANUARY: 12-16 Credit deficiency letters will be mailed. 12 High school counselors go to Middle School for program planning. 20-30 Program Planning for next year’s courses—See page 5 for more information (students will receive a course catalog and meet with counselors regarding class Selection’s for next year). 30 Pickup course selections from Middle School. FEBRUARY: 2-13 Counselors will meet with students for credit check/transcript review. 19 FAFSA Nights 5 p.m. 23 AIMS writing (for those juniors and seniors who have not passed it yet). 24 AIMS Reading (for those juniors and seniors who have not passed it yet).
