From the Royal Court Director: Yesterday afternoon our Royal Court and Chaperons Jeff and Carol visited the Cle Elum Bakery for a snack then went across the street to Owens Meats and were treated to some awesome samples of house recipe pepperoni and beef jerky from owner Don Owens father of Princess Lutisha; lots and lots of great stuff in the store (Don even picked out a couple of great steaks for me) thank you Don! Then we were off the the Cle Elum Roslyn Elementary school for our main purpose... Dr. Seuss. Once again the ladies did a flawless job reading without getting tongue tied and interacted well with the kids. All of the kids were great, they were well behaved and having a great time with our Court and the Cle Elum Warrior boys baseball team members who also read to the kids. This was also a dress up night for the volunteers, kids and parents that participated, and awards were handed out for the best dressed in various categories. Lots of girls had Cindy Lou Who hair and I saw a couple of Thing 1 and 2s as well. Our Court signed lots of autograph cards last night and stayed until all the kids had a card and a photo op. We completed a successful night with dinner at the Sunset Cafe; Thank you Joey and crew for a great meal! Enjoy the pics to follow!
