From the article: But why mince words in the face of the intentional brutality – psychological and physical – being inflicted on asylum-seekers imprisoned on Christmas Island, Nauru and Manus Island, by an elected Australian government? Why not call our asylum-seeker policy what it is: immoral. Unfortunately, immoral, while being the absolutely correct word for Australias actions is, nevertheless, a weak, empty word. It doesnt cut it at an emotional level. I dont feel a sense of unleashing of emotion when I say it. We have reached a stage where our actions can be described as evil and that word can be spoken with venom. We have become, by the actions of a series of Governments that we have elected, an Evil people. johnmenadue/blog/?p=1273
