From the depth of my heart, I welcome you to my page. Today, well be exploring how that crippled was moved out of stagnation and were going to see that in Acts 14: 9-10. Lets go. Verse 9 says : thesame heard Paul speak: who steadfastly heholding him and perceiving that he hath faith to be healed. One day this cripple found himself at a crusade ground where Apostle Paul was the chief speaker. How he got there, I dont know, but friends or sympathizers might have brought him there just to know if something will change. Hes not been there before. If hes been there before, his name would have been known and would be introduced by that name in verse 8. No biz man or woman will testify to the goodness of God upon his/her life if after so many years of doing the biz he/she cant even renew his tenancy. No civil servant will be happy after so many years of service is still retaining thesame grade level and salary. In this era of erratic hike in school fees, no parent will be happy to see his child repeat a class even if its kindagarten. So what shold one do in a situation like this? 1: Mind what you hear. Part of vs 9 says : thesame heard Paul. Does it mean that theres no other people talking while Paul was ministering? No, but he chose to listen to Paul. I equally believe that many people might have suggested so many places and people to him where he could receive his healing, but he chose to be with Paul. Now in time of crisis where do you go to seek for help. Faith comes by hearing and hearing what? The word of God! Going through challenges is not the best time to avoid church activities. The word that comes out of the pulpit, during sermon, praise and worship, testimony or choir ministration could be that healing balm youve all along been looking for. Thus as much as possible let problem take you to God and not from God. 6: who steadfastly beholding him. Being in service is one thing being attentive is another. Jesus said one thing is needful. Thats why I find it funny when I see people bending down to make or receive calls while sermon is going on. Your spirit, soul and body must be 100% at alert before miracle can take effect. As people come to you with different alternatives to God for your miracle,please remain focused. Stay with God and Hell stay with you. 7: Do what youre told to do. Part of vs 10 says: and he leaped and walked. The cripple has never walked before but when Paul told him to stand upright he obeyed. He didnt give an excuse like that man at the Pool of Bethseida. Mary the mother of Jesus told the disiples whatever Jesus told them to do they should go ahead and do it. When Jesus thereafter told them to pour water into an empty can they obeyed. When they served it, its no longer water but wine. If they had not obeyed Jesus nothing would have happened. Breakthrough doesnt happen just because you heard a powerful sermon while sitting at one corner urging the Pastor: Ride on. Or because you responded with a coarse voice fire ya ya ya ya, after the Pastor asked you to do so. No. Breakthrough is a product of obedience. How many of us pay our tithe but would want to enjoy open heaven. You must do what your Pastor tells you to do though it MUST have biblical backing. So even as I encourage you to do what youre told to do please if Jesus is not involved in every aspect of you search for breakthrough, please dont buy. Finally my brothers and sisters theres no other place you can stand up and walk without Jesus. Hed done it in the past, Hell do it today and Hell do it tomorrow. From today as you accept Jesus as your Lord and personal saviour, the power to move forward will be released upon you in Jesus nam. The man didnt crawl again neither did he walk. He just went straigth to jumping and runing. Thats great speed. Thats double for his trouble and shame. That which youve lost youll recover them in 100 folds in Jesus name. One thing worthy of note here is that when the miracle took place no member of his family or even friends were there to celebrate with him. But that didnt stop him or many other people from celebrating. As I stated earlier may be because of shame they avoided him. From today every garment of shame upon your life as a result of your predicament fire from the altar of God wll consume it in Jesus. He left home as a nobody, rejected and abandoned, but went back as a hero and a celebrity. I dont care to know how youve lost your dignity amongst your friends or relations, all I know is that the power of God will take you to your rightful position in Jesus name.
