From the sublime to the ridiculous!!! This is SO unfair to a Little Fighter!!! To make a Child with Cancer and his parent/family go through this is RIDICULOUS!!!! (Read the whole saga ~ English translation provided) Dinsdag/Tuesday Vandag kom ons by hospitaal in george en hul se dr sien nie dinsdae onkologie pasiente nie! Woensdae en donderdae. Verniet gery! Toe word n mri scan gereel vir more. So drup in 8uur en scan 11uur weer narkose. En n klomp onodige onkostes oor en weer george toe! Dis mos die staat! Dit is nou maar dit, ons moet maar net geduldig wees. Dalk is more n beter dag. Today we went to the hospital in George for Heinis appointment only to get informed that the Doctor does not see oncology patients on Tuesdays, only on Wednesdays and Thursdays. So we drove all the way there for nothing! They have arranged an MRI for tomorrow, which means a drip @ 8 o clock and the scan @ 11 - more anaesthetic! And more unnecessary expense to travel to George and back again! This is the Government!!! Well, that is the way it is and there is nothing we can do about it, we will just have to be patient! Maybe tomorrow will be a better day. Woensdagoggend/Wednesday Morning Een ongelukkige seuntjie vanoggend! Hy is so moeg van vol naalde gesteek te word. Hy wil nou niks weet om in n bed te le of dat iemand aan hom vat nie, drup in en wag om mri scan te doen 11uur. Mamma huil eks dik van trane, dit was nou net te veel in twee dae. Ons sal seker nou nog moet wag vir onkoloog vir uitslae ook nog. Ek laat weet as ons weet. One very unhappy little boy here this morning. He is already so tired of being stuck with needles that he refused to lay in the bed and does not want anyone touching him! The drip is in and now we wait for the MRI scan. Mommy is very tearful; this has just been too much in 2 days! I suppose we will just have to wait for the oncologists report. I will let you know when we know. Woensdagmiddag/Wednesday Afternoon Ek was lanklaas so omgekrap soos gister en vandag! Eers maak die hospitaal afspraak en drs kom nie dinsdae nie! Toe reel hul mri scan vir vandag, heini omgedop oor naalde het toe drip in 8uur vanoggend en toe is daar nie ambulans om heini na die kliniek te vat waar mri masjien is nie, hul gee sy narkose meds in ons moet self ry, gevaarlik want hy kan ophou asem haal. Die dr wat hom verder moet uitsit moet met ander vervoer kom! So sit lize nou by mri en wag heini klaar uit en geen dr in sig! Swak regtig! I dont know when last I was THIS upset as what I have been yesterday and today!! Firstly the hospital makes an appointment for Heini for yesterday but the doctors do not come on a Tuesday, then they organised an MRI for today; Heini turned inside out about all the needles ~ drip in at 8AM this morning and then there was no ambulance to take Heini to the clinic where the MRI machine is!!! They then gave him the anesthetic and we had to drive ourselves to the clinic with him under anaesthetic - this is unacceptable and very dangerous because he could stop breathing!! The doctor that had to atttend to him with thte MRI had to travel with other transport, and so Lize and I are sitting with Heini at the clinic waiting for him to have the MRI and there is no doctor in sight!! REALLY PATHETIC!!!! We at Little Fighters Cancer Trust are FURIOUS at this and are basically sitting on our hands to not jump in the car and drive to George and take a few people to task!!
