From time to time people ask me what made you decide this or that - TopicsExpress

From time to time people ask me what made you decide this or that or how did you know that would happen? I try to explain to people my philosophy is that life is like a river and your swimming in it. When you fight the current it s like forcing a square peg in a round hole. You will work twice as hard swimming against the current, likely not get where you wanted to go and be frustrated all during the swim. This week is a perfect example. Thursday is Halloween, and Bobby wants to go as the air bender. an almost impossible costume to find or with ordering it wont arrive in time. I felt that river tugging me to go out of my way down 231 to the flea market which was closing up early on Sunday. I felt the need ti get some pumpkins. Everyone was leaving so I turned around and left thinking I will get a few pumpkins at the Halloween store up the street, if the price was right. I pulled in and thought why not lets ask and sure enough they had 1 air bender in his size. I dont believe in coincidences! Today the weather forecast is looking potentially awful for Halloween and Bobby and Johnny both would be upset to not get to trick or treat. I try not to worry though I am stressing over a lot and this just tries to add to it. Letty and I talk about maybe having Bobby and Johnny to go to Vanderbilt in costume. This feels right, not like forcing it to happen. Buy the time we get home Lebanon decides to officially move Halloween to Friday because of the weather. So, see, go with the flow and try not to worry. It all works out in the end, when you dont force it. A perfect example of what I mean by not fighting the currents. No coincidences!
