From within the Denny Brown Camp: ROSS, I dont like you calling this a Land Grab. Mr. Brown wants to help the city. He has been working on this project for over a year. Please dont ruin it. So we searched. Yes - you are right. He has been working on this for over a year. He announced his intention to build a Food and Clothing Bank in South Scottsdale in August of 2014. What he did not tell us is that he intended to abuse his Board Position to manipulate the District in to closing and then giving him a School that he intended to vote to close for his own benefit. What Dr. Peterson did not tell us is that he used the District resources to conduct a bogus survey to attempt to justify this misappropriation of assets. What we were not told is that Denny Brown voted to close Tonalea AFTER he expressed his plans to build a Food Bank. What we were NOT TOLD is that Dr. Peterson helped him proceed with his plans - and that immediately after leaving his Board position, he would be bequeathed the Tonalea campus. This District has no morals. It has no soul. The pursuit of academic excellence has no Pilot at the Helm. The helm is manned by a Superintendent who thinks building, selling and gifting property is the proper task of the Superintendent. Stop this insanity now.
